Belief: Strategy is about analyzing our situation. Reality: Strategy is more about being creative rather than analytical.
Belief: Strategy is about planning. Reality: Strategy is more about how to execute.
Belief: Strategy is about what to do. Reality: Strategy is more about what to say “NO” to.
The number one big question your strategic planning must answer is “How much value are we going to create for our clients over the next [number of periods] and how are we going to do it?” Start from this question rather than the traditional one of “how much revenue do we need to generate?”.
